Paint Strokes

I've been a bit uptight the last week or so. It's been hard to turn off the left side of my brain when I'm drawing or painting. In order to shake things up, I started today's painting session by having fun with paint strokes.

First, I played with getting enough paint on my brush and trying to use the brush in interesting ways. After that, I either painted over an existing paint stroke or played with fitting in a paint stroke in the in-between parts. I also played with some thin wispy strokes that you need for cat whiskers and things like that. I didn't think. I just did and I needed that!

I also took the time to do 2 - ten minute paintings. I will finish the other two squares tomorrow.
